Revomon — Staying on Course with Our Blockchain and Paving the Way Ahead
Revomon Novus (novus meaning ‘new’ in Latin) represents the culmination of our two-year journey, during which we have meticulously shaped and refined the game’s concept to create a truly immersive and groundbreaking monster hunting experience, centered around the players.
Being part of rapidly expanding industries such as web3, gaming, and virtual reality, we find ourselves in a paradoxical situation. We must carefully analyze and evaluate our priorities while remaining agile enough to respond quickly, ensuring that we capitalize on the current wave of excitement without missing out on any opportunities.
Preparing Revomon Novus on a supportive ecosystem
Revomon has been building on BNBChain since Day 1, and despite being selected for the prestigious MVB IV program led by Binance, we have not received any follow-up. Furthermore, we had discussions with Binance Labs regarding potential investments, and during a call, they expressed interest in supporting Revomon.
However, due to significant turnover and company restructuring on their side in early 2022, the discussions with the new team members never progressed and were ultimately ignored. Although this situation is disheartening in terms of support, we have made the decision to continue building on BNBChain instead of switching to Polygon.
You may wonder why.
The reason is quite simple: we had a misrepresentation of the reality, and as the saying goes, the grass is not always greener on the other side. Despite spending months (since January 2023) reaching out to other network projects such as Polygon, Immutable, and Avalanche, we have found that the deals we can secure with them are either unattainable or insufficient to cover the workload associated with migration. In short, the game is not worth the candle.
To summarize, we have chosen not to migrate to another primary chain for the following reasons:
- Lack of real financial support and marketing. While there may be some initial tweets, there is no sustained support.
- The fee difference between Polygon and BNBChain is not significantly lower (~0.12 vs. 0.40). Considering that Polygon records only 5 times less on-chain volume and activity than BNBChain, fees would end up being equally high if the former gains popularity.
- A general lack of enthusiasm, as many web3 actors are trying to save funds in anticipation of a longer “bear market” period due to macroeconomic factors.
By staying on BNBChain, we believe we can navigate these challenges more effectively and continue to deliver the best experience for our community.
The liquidity of the $REVO for the BNBChain pool (REVO-WBNB) on PancakeSwap will be significantly enhanced by adding 50% more liquidity from the Uniswap pool on Ethereum. This strategic move will provide users with an improved trading experience, minimizing price impact, and realigning activities to the DApp’s functional ecosystem on BNBChain.
Furthermore, we have diligently worked on a range of optimizations that were pending implementation as we had initially considered migrating to a new chain. These optimizations will now be deployed, positively impacting the following areas:
- Reducing network marketplace fees.
- Decreasing the minting fees.
We have encountered issues related to the Diamond Hands NFTs and R3V-UP checks, but rest assured, we have found solutions to address them. These solutions are designed to benefit token holders. Additionally, we are excited to introduce an NFT staking pool that will grant minting benefits and/or reduce marketplace fees for the following staked assets:
- Diamond Hands, offering benefits for marketplace fees.
- R3V-UP, providing advantages for minting fees.
By implementing these enhancements and addressing the identified issues, we are committed to delivering a superior ecosystem that rewards and empowers our community of holders.
We have made a significant development regarding the secondary chain, as we have chosen Cronos Chain to host our operations. As part of this decision, 50% of the current pool liquidity on Ethereum will be migrated to Cronos Chain.
We are delighted to announce that we being supported by Cronos Chain. There is nothing more gratifying than knowing we can bring value to new users eagerly awaiting the growth of the web3 gaming ecosystem.
We firmly believe that Cronos Chain will experience substantial growth in the future, thanks to the global presence of its parent company, Crypto.com. Through their user-friendly gateway ecosystem, they have been instrumental in democratizing crypto and web3 technologies.
On Cronos Chain, we are committed to deploying the following features to enhance the user experience:
- Revomon Dapp compatibility, integrating seamlessly with the Cronos wallet and network.
- Compatibility of $REVO BEP-20 on Cronos Chain ($REVO CRC-20).
- Development of a unique collection of NFTs.
- Deployment of bridge for seamless transfer of $REVO and NFTs between BNBChain and Cronos Chain.
- Introduction of staking pools for token holders.
With these features, we aim to create a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem on Cronos Chain, offering users a seamless and engaging experience. We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to the growth and opportunities that Cronos Chain will bring to the Revomon community.
